Solar costs — guidance, not a quote

Solar is priced after the roof, shade and electrical service are assessed. These factors move the cost up or down.

What drives the cost

  • System size in kilowatts and whether a battery is included.
  • Roof type, pitch, height and condition — tile, metal and complex roofs take longer.
  • Switchboard upgrades, export limits and DNSP application requirements.
  • Inverter quality, monitoring and warranty terms.
  • Scaffolding, edge protection and site access.
  • STC assignment and any state rebate paperwork (amounts vary — confirm separately).

Incentives and bills

Small-scale Technology Certificates (STCs) and any state rebates or feed-in arrangements change over time and by eligibility.

Why there is no price list here

Two roofs that look alike can need very different racking, electrical work and interconnection once shade and structure are checked, so any fixed price would be guesswork. Official licensing and energy guidance is linked below.
